This Is What Its All About


Last week my dad handed me a copy of the Llanelli Star, the local paper of his home town in South Wales. He pointed me to an article about Dylan, a young boy who had turned to Kickboxing to help him deal with bullying and overcome so much on a road that so far has already led him to a Welsh Kickboxing Championship win! I’m hoping to find the time…




I am pleased; an understatement on the greatest scale. Yesterday I received notification that following years of work has finally bought to fruition the dreams of many and the aspirations of thousands. Those understated words cannot even begin to express my feelings when I read the email and letter from Sport England announcing that the British Kickboxing Council has been successful in its pre-application for the sporting recognition of our great sport….


Giving Back


I have always been a firm believer in sport, and especially Martial Arts based sports, giving back to the community. The benefits of studying any form of Martial Art, be it traditional or freestyle, are well documented and community projects, such as the ones being run by Stoke Freestyle’s Christopher Guest, help not only to promote these benefits to a wider audience, but also provide these benefits to more people…
